Replace and redesign the e-commerce platform from an acquisition and integrate it into the current portal ecosystem
My first step was an evaluation of all the existing pages and features to understand what functionality needs to be integrated into the new ecosystem as well as which functionalities could or should be retired.
I defined and refined the information architecture in conjunction with prototyping to ensure the new features and functionalities integrated neatly into the existing application navigation structure.
Prototyping was an integral part of this initiative as many features needed to be redesigned to meet the needs of the old system as well as being scalable to integrate the complexities of different divisions of the organization that also needed to be integrated into the application.
